Microlending for 3 years on Zidisha - Report

Three years on Zidisha now!

Since 8 December 2013, the date of my first disbursed loan on Zidisha.Inc, the lending funds have been recycled into USD $521 worth of loans. Below is a breakdown of the number of loans funded by country:

• Kenya – 76 loans
• Ghana – 23 loans
• Burkina Faso – 7 loans
• Indonesia – 5 loans
• Senegal – 2 loans
• Niger – 1 loan
• Guinea – 1 loan
• Haiti – 1 loan
• Zambia – 1 loan

which makes 125 projects supported in total (117 in real terms; defaulting, written off and forgiven loans are not counted).
Loss: around 30%, 8 projects - due to defaulters, written off and forgiven loans, as well as inflation, currency conversion, and transaction fees from PayPal.
